This is an author that I feel like is overlooked. In retrospect, his work as a dogcatcher demonstrated his violent nature as many neighbors complained that he was overly strict and extreme; one woman complained that he euthanized her dog for no reason. Smith you get a great story. It turns out; Claire is on a solo mission to rescue her abducted granddaughter. These people deserve to be eaten by bears! It was pretty obvious from the get go who the baddie was in this one, so no surprise when all is revealed! They have to have it right now! From her t shirts to her laugh out loud hilarious underwear range, her uniqueness definitely caught the eye of the town's alpha.

When her boss, jackass extraordinaire and ex, turns up and starts threatening the town and Max's business, it begins to get all the more complicated. This was the first book I read that she's written and it just happened to be the first book of a Rina Martin Series. There was definitely something there and when Max wanted something, he made sure he got it. The relationships between the characters were hilarious, and Max and his mother's constant banter had me in stitches. Years later he finds this is his calling. I guess what they say is true.
Of course, Mia with her clumsiness, immediately catches the eye of Lumberjack extraordinaire, Max Hunter. They meet in Max hometown. Could it be that Olivia has a plan that even Frank can't unravel? So picture a hot lumberjack!!! I don't know what it was about Mad Max, but he pushed all my buttons in the best ways. All of the police officers except Matt are basically useless or corrupt and the killer runs rings around them. In the end we are treated to a wonderful epilogue that wrapped this story up in a very good way. Many have died just because the murderer was in an angry mood and could think rationally.
Everything that has happened, is happening and will happen in the future has already been written down by himself. The only issue I had, and seeing as it was an arc and I was warned by the author she was in final edits, was some of the editing. But when murder strikes, Rina and Mac soon discover that some dangerous secrets hide behind Frantham's quiet facade.
